If you are coming to the Pendlebury Library in order to look only at certain closed-access items (usually starting with an X as the classmark), please contact us at least 1 working day in advance. With some advanced notice we might be able to fetch items.

Self-Issue machine at Pendlebury Library!
We can now offer you a self-issue machine at the Pendlebury Library. You might have used such a service point in other libraries, but it’s probably good to know some of the following points (which apply to our machine):
- You can only issue things (the machine does not let you return items)
- Overnight Loan items (blue stickers on spine, b/w stickers on front of volume) cannot be issued on this machine.
- Without a readable barcode on the back of your ID the machine cannot be used.
We hope that you will be able to use this machine, especially at busy times. If you would like one of us to show you how the self-issuing works, please ask a friendly librarian to help you.
